Healing the Children...around the corner and around the world.
Welcome to Healing the Children

Imagine a world where children have access to the health care they need. That is the vision of Healing the Children, a national, non-profit organization whose mission is to restore health to impoverished children of the world through donated medical services.

Healing the Children began with one child, Lori Jo Embleton, a Korean infant adopted by Cris and Gary Embleton of Spokane, Washington. Lori Jo died of a condition that could have been cured if the medicine she needed had been available in her native country. After her death, Cris put her grief to work and arranged for a child from Guatemala to have donated, life-saving heart surgery. From that one little miracle, Healing the Children grew. Today, thousands of children around the world are alive, whole and healthy because Healing the Children is working on their behalf.
